A full time Theatre School educating children from Nursery to Post 16.
The Pattison family has taught Dance in Coventry since the 1920s. Pattison College, the school however, was established in 1949 by Betty Pattison, to provide full time education for talented pupils wishing to make a career of the theatre. Over the years the emphasis has changed. Pupils can still take advantage of confidence building performance opportunities in Dance, Drama and Music, but parents value the traditional education in a family environment and appreciate the advantages of an uninterrupted education from Nursery to GCSEs.
In addition Pattison's has a thriving Performance Academy for children who do not attend the educational establishment but who wish to benefit from the tutorship of specialist teachers. Lessons are held Mon - Saturday for children to study every genre available.
Pattisons also has a very succesful Post 16 course where students can attain the Lv 4 Diploma in Dance Teaching (IDTA)
Pupils take part in numerous performances throughout the year, audition successfully for Pantomimes and other professional tours and each year the school produces a large performance of all performers at a local theatre.
Performers and teachers also attend Pattisons for continuing professional development classes, to keep their technique strong and to further their qualifications.
